DANCE COSTUMES INTRODANS | Arnhem 2007

The 'For life' choreography from Stein Fluit for Introdans imagined a struggle from the present (dancer 1) with the heavy burden of the past. (dancer 2) A heavy burden which I literally and figural made 'wearable' again by stitching smaller enormous jogging suits. The redundant material emphasized and exploited the many twisting movements in the dancing. The suits had a black and skin colored side imagining the person and his shadow of the past. Dancing together they OR form one and the same person OR the present becomes overshadowed.
